Intern Green Finance

We are looking for an English speaking master student!

Intern - Green Finance

Zeist 40 hours WO master € 550

Finance forms the foundation of our economic system, and enables all types of economic activities, with both positive and negative impacts on nature. At the same time, nature loss can result in significant financial implications. WWF globally recognizes the finance sector as a key driver for change and that it has a crucial role to play in addressing the climate and biodiversity crisis. This is why WWF drives its Green Finance efforts through 2 targeted workstreams: Financing Green and Greening Finance.

Financing Green workstream focuses on mobilizing financial flows toward naturepositive and climateresilient solutions. Under this umbrella, WWF-NL runs several programs, including the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD), which supports climateresilient projects in developing countries and uses financial solutions to redirect capital toward nature-positive outcomes. Greening Finance workstream focuses on making the broader financial system more aligned with nature goals by integrating nature into financial decisions. We do this by forming bilateral partnerships with Dutch financial institutions as well as bringing together various other financial sector stakeholders through collaborative initiatives to foster action.

What will you be doing?

As a Green Finance intern, you will support the team in the proper functioning of its partnerships, programs and projects. As this position will support both the Greening Finance pillar and Financing Green pillar, you will be involved in the full spectrum of the sustainable finance value chain, entrusted with the challenge of bridging nature-related risks with nature-related opportunities.
