Research, data collection and compilation of case studies on NbS
Under it’s new strategy and operating model, WWF Netherlands has a new team called the Transformational Programmes Accelerators that works on large-scale partnerships and programmes that are innovative and business-not-usual.
NatureWise is such a programme under the TPA team that is designed to address systemic barriers to enable, maximise and derive socioecological benefits by employing Nature-Based Solutions as part of the European landscape restoration.
What will you be doing?
Data collection, research and structuring of NbS case studies on a rolling basis. You will be collecting data to support the strategic direction of NatureWise and strengthen its proposal to potential funder groups; research NbS cases in Europe to demonstrate outcomes and challenges; and compile NbS cases that are bankable/investable. You will do this with support from the NatureWise team, and will receive guidance as well.
Activities:
- Data collection on NbS and related cases.
- Research on NbS in Europe for case study demonstration and investment proposals.
- Compilation and structuring of information on the NbS case studies gathered in the aforementioned activities.
- Present on findings thoroughly to the team, and support team members on their presentations.
- Support digital organisation of communication materials.
Who are we looking for?
WWF is looking for a Programme Support Intern passionate about nature and interested in business/finance, who wants to learn more about distilling complex topics into engaging narratives that bring about change.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Climate Change, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability or in a related field.
- Affinity with nature, sustainability, climate adaptation, and/or green finance.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Creative mindset with experience in social media and basic design tools (e.g. Adobe Express, PowerPoint).
- Proactive, organised, and detailoriented.
- Comfortable working in an international, multistakeholder environment.
What do we offer?
- An internship from July/August 3–5 days per week, with at least one day in the Dutch WWF office.
- €550 allowance per month, based on fulltime work.
- An office surrounded by nature in Zeist.
